This 4-day experiential workshop offers members the opportunity to explore the constructed hierarchies in our minds around caste class, gender, religion, and language to name a few. Members are invited to explore how these (often unconscious) hierarchies impact and influence our ideas and stances about privilege, power, and personal authority, and determine our choices about the roles we take up in the systems that we belong to, and how we relate to others.
The workshop is designed on the premise that the victim and the oppressor are not separated as inside-outside; and that we are both victims and oppressors. Everyone is implicated within a system that is structured on the basis of such hierarchies.
The first of these was offered with the title ‘Brahmin’ in the Mind in 2016.
